UNC Alpha Phi - Chapel Hill, NC
Vice President of Marketing
October 2023 - October 2024
As the former Vice President of Marketing for Alpha Phi, I had the opportunity to lead the charge in shaping our chapter’s brand with creativity and a fresh perspective. From day one, I had been an active voice on both the executive council and as head of my department of 6 directors, driving strategy and collaboration across the board. Whether working closely with our Membership Recruitment Department to fine-tune our competitive edge or crafting and executing our chapter’s content and social media strategies, my focus was always on telling our story in a way that resonates.
I oversaw everything from our merchandising efforts to paid and organic social media campaigns. I helped boost our engagement by 23.3% and increased accounts reached by a staggering 187% in just two months. But it’s more than numbers—it’s about creating a meaningful connection with both current and potential members and leaving a lasting impact on our chapter’s success.
My responsibilities included but were not limited to merchandise, banners, photography, videography, graphics, social media, website design, public relations, and brand relations. (And I couldn’t have done it without my lovely and hardworking directors!)
The merchandise division was a huge part of my role, collaborating closely with my Merchandise Director to bring our chapter’s vision to life through custom apparel and products. Together, we’ve worked with licensed manufacturers to create over 30 unique designs for events, ensuring that each piece reflects our chapter’s identity and the spirit of each occasion. From concept to creation, I oversaw the entire process, ensuring high-quality merchandise that our members love to wear and represent.

Merch Pack!!
This merch pack was our baby and truly a labor of love. We spent over 2 months curating over 15 items for our chapter members to purchase. The bear set was a huge hit (130+ orders)
Graphics
As the go-to graphic designer for our chapter, I created eye-catching visuals using both Canva and Adobe for a variety of needs, from event promotions to Instagram stories.

As part of my role in public and brand relations, I proactively reached out to over 50 brands, building partnerships and securing PR packages for our chapter during recruitment season. My efforts resulted in some incredible collaborations. These partnerships not only added value to our events but also helped elevate our chapter's brand presence.

As the social media manager for our chapter, I took full ownership of our Instagram account, posting 3–6 times per week to keep our content fresh and engaging. I created a variety of content, including birthday shoutouts with a custom template for Instagram Stories and managed hashtag campaigns like our #MyHeartBeatsFor initiative during Heart Health Week. In addition to graphics and static posts, I also produced dynamic reels and TikToks to showcase our chapter’s energy and personality. By combining strategic planning with creativity, I helped grow our online presence and keep our community connected.
